Environmental Researchers have found that most of us are very happy to donate unwanted items to charity shops or free trade websites but we are less likely to use these markets as places to source goods we need.
Re-use of unwanted items is great for the environment – it extends the life of products and is cheap - in fact on www.freetradeireland.ie everything is offered FREE of CHARGE.
Up and down the country people are becoming more creative as well as frugal, check out your local paper or community notice board for unwanted items in your neighbourhood or for reuse events such as “Swishing” – an organised party to swap clothes, shoes and accessories and of course have fun at the same time.
Everything from books to CD’s and DVD’s as well as clothes, leisure items and toys are things that we all may have grown tired of so if you can swap them for something new – why not, it’s a win: win situation for all.
